LJH LIFTAWAY THE WINNING ACE FOR 2003

Expansion ambitions became achievable for Ace Liftaway when an industrial estate, complete with disused factory adjacent to a dormant landfill site became available within a 1½ mile radius of Ace Liftaway’s existing operational centre near Romsey, Hampshire.

Site acquisition, planning and environmental considerations satisfied, company directors Philip and Melanie Liddell’s criteria for any recycling plant was optimisation of available space within the existing building, suitability for the use intended and build quality.

LJH provided the final piece of the business development jigsaw that Ace Liftaway were seeking. Following a design consultation process, visits to other LJH designed installations and approval of the design concept an order was placed and the plant delivered and installed on schedule.

The recycling plant is designed to handle pre-sorted skip waste; comprising a vibrating feeder, trommel screen and an upgraded and redesigned blower system feeding onto a three-bay picking station.The plant was delivered and installed on schedule. Commissioning took place prior to Christmas 2002, currently the plant is substantially reducing 2003 landfill and transport costs for the company.
